Peak State Fit, established in 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah, represents Heather and Pat Casey’s vision to create a premier destination for cycling enthusiasts. Initially founded as a sports performance studio, it has grown into a full-service bike shop and high-end fit studio, driven by a passion for cycling and community wellness.

Our evolution has included expanding into retail in January 2024. We now offer an array of top-tier cycling brands such as FACTOR, VENTUM, ENVE, and MOOTS. This expansion allows us to provide a comprehensive range of products and services tailored to enhance the cycling experience for novice riders as well as professional athletes.

May 2024 introduces an exciting new chapter with the opening of Peak State CycleCafe. As the first of its kind in Salt Lake City, the CycleCafe merges our passion for cycling with community engagement. Located in the bustling neighborhood of Liberty Wells, it serves as a vibrant hub where cyclists can refuel and connect over high-quality coffee and pastries. This unique space embodies our commitment to enriching the local cycling community and fostering deeper connections.

Under the leadership of Heather and Pat, Peak State Fit and the Peak State CycleCafe stand as beacons for cycling excellence and community spirit. The introduction of a hybrid role that combines bike mechanic skills with barista duties illustrates our innovative approach to customer service—ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless and enriching experience.

Overview:

Join our team at Peak State Fit, a leading full-service bike shop, and the newly launched Peak State CycleCafe in Salt Lake City. We are seeking a versatile individual passionate about cycling and coffee to fill our unique position, combining bike mechanic and barista roles. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and is committed to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality bike repairs and maintenance.

• Assist customers in selecting the best bikes and cycling gear.

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages with exceptional quality.

• Manage inventory and supplies for both cycling and cafe products.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Engage with the cycling community to foster a welcoming cafe atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bike mechanic or a strong desire to learn.

• Barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques.

• Familiarity with Lightspeed POS software is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Team is everything at Peak State Fit.
