Professional criterium racing will return to downtown Las Vegas on February 27–28, 2027, ending an absence of more than a decade.
The Las Vegas Criteriums, a USA Cycling-permitted event, will bring two days of racing to the Fremont East Entertainment District. Professional men and women from across the United States and Canada are expected to compete.
The Las Vegas event will follow the Valley of the Sun, a major professional stage race, and other races in the Phoenix–Tucson region, giving teams and riders another early-season racing opportunity in the Southwest.
A full slate of amateur races will draw cyclists from throughout the western United States. Organizers plan to combine the professional and amateur competition with a festival-style atmosphere in the heart of downtown Las Vegas.
“Bringing professional criterium racing back to Las Vegas is an exciting milestone for both the sport and the city,” said Dirk Cowley, CEO of RaceDay Event Management. “The Fremont East Entertainment District provides a dynamic and iconic backdrop for high-energy racing, and we anticipate strong participation from elite athletes and amateur riders alike.”
The City of Las Vegas Department of Economic Development and Department of Special Events will work with organizers to stage the race weekend.

Organizers plan to launch the event’s official website and social media channels in the coming months. They will announce course details, race schedules and additional information as the event approaches.
