The Lander Cycling Club’s WYO-131 Gravel Race is set to return for its ninth year on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Known for its remote terrain, scenic views, and strong community atmosphere, the event continues to draw gravel riders from across the region.

“We’ve been amazed at how the event continues to grow, but at the same time, we’re committed to keeping it true to its roots,” said Race Director Gwen Robson. “There’s something really special about the community and the place. Riders feel it as soon as they arrive — it’s more than just a race, it’s an experience.”

Course Options for All Riders
This year’s event features four route options: 13, 45, 75, and 131 miles. The full 131-mile course remains the centerpiece of the event — a rugged loop through sagebrush plains, alpine lakes, ancient hoodoos, steep climbs, and expansive views of the Wind River Mountains. Riders can expect to encounter brilliant fall colors along the way.

The Kids’ Race returns with new features for 2025. It now includes both Strider (balance bike) and pedal bike divisions for children ages 2–10. Riders will navigate a short obstacle course and visit a mini aid station. All participants receive a finisher medal.

Post-Race Celebration
After the ride, racers and spectators are invited to Lander City Park for the official afterparty and vendor fair. The event includes live music from the Low Water String Band, food from Bunk’s BBQ, and craft beer from Push Root Brewery.
