Reynolds Cycling Launches Minimum Advertising Price Policy

Hires Travis Erwin as Domestic Sales Manager to Increase Dealer Support

West Jordan, UT (Press Release) – September 26, 2012 – Reynolds Cycling (a Utah company), a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of high performance bicycle wheels, continues to focus on dealer- direct support in the U. S. with its launch of an aggressive Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy and the appointment of Travis Erwin to Domestic Sales Manager.

Rob Aguero, Reynolds Director of Sales and Marketing, is enthusiastic about the changes, stating, “MAP is our way of extending support to independent bike dealers and creating healthy competition among Internet retailers.” Under the policy, all Reynolds products offered for resale are advertised at 10% off MSRP.

Reynolds’ MAP policy is offered in conjunction with its new pricing and pre-book program, which received positive dealer feedback at Interbike earlier this month. The 2013 pricing allows dealers smaller buy-ins and large incentives.

“As the landscape of bicycle, bicycle component and bicycle accessory distribution changes, it’s important to adjust and pay attention to what our customers are telling us. With these new programs we hope to show our customers we truly support and listen to their needs. Reynolds plans to remain a mainstay in the bicycle industry through not only technology and name, but as a partner to our IBDs,” says Aguero.

To further expand its support of IBD customers, Reynolds Cycling recently appointed industry veteran Travis Erwin as its new Domestic Sales Manager. Erwin, who started his career at a retail bike shop, brings nearly a decade of bicycle industry experience to Reynolds. He most recently was a Regional Sales Specialist at Pivot Cycles/BH Bikes, he and his family are relocating to Reynolds’ Utah headquarters to man the post.

“I’m so impressed with Reynolds’ people, product, engineering, and commitment to quality,” says Erwin. “I look forward to working with our team, sales reps, and each and every one of our IBDs.”
