Visit Dallas DNA Pro Cycling is a combined effort of FCS and K4 Racing. FCS (Foundation for the Cultivation of Sport) and K4 Racing merged in late 2015 to form the new team. Doug Clark is the driving force behind FCS, which has promoted women’s cycling in Texas since 2004. K4 Racing was formed in 2012 by then Utah local Kemi King, Alex Kim, Cathy Fegan-Kim (of Cottonsox Photo fame), and Paxton Guymon.
When the two teams merged, team co-owner Alex Kim stated, “We are proud to bring another UCI-level women’s team to North America, adding to the strong and talented field. It’s exciting to see the growth of this sport; we’re lucky to have partnered with companies like Orbea (the team’s bike sponsor) which share our desire to support women’s cycling through competition.”
Visit Dallas DNA Pro Cycling is sponsored by Visit Dallas and the Dallas Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and DNA Cycling.
Visit Dallas works to “market Dallas as the ideal convention and visitor destination to the regional, national, and international marketplace and to favorably impact the Dallas economy through meetings and tourism.”
DNA Cycling is a Utah based bicycle clothing manufacturer that has supported the local cycling community for years.
