Rumble at 18 Road Rescheduled to May 2-3, 2015

April 17, 2015 – The Rumble at 18 Road, a cross-country mountain bike race scheduled to be held in Grand Junction, CO on April 18-19, has been rescheduled to May 2-3, 2015 due to poor weather and a muddy course. The organizer, John Klish of Mad Racing Colorado sent out the following statement:

The weather is still not cooperating… Snowing up here at the 18 Road area. Road is sloppy wet, and lots of pools on trails. Highly doubt it will dry by tmw or even Sunday per forecast. I would rather preserve trails and your energy/bikes for this race so I’m postponing to May 2-3 weekend. More details and pictures to follow, have things to address now. Your patience and understanding is appreciated…

May 2-3 — Rumble at 18 Road|, Fruita, CO, New Date! Rumble at 18 Road will be running its fourth year under MAD Racing after LTR Sports put on 3 years of hard work making this race become a well known event among cyclists in the west.  This year, MAD Racing is adding on some trail running for some additional options those who are interested in running the race course for time.  We look forward to seeing your MAD smiles soon! Race Location:  The famous 18 Road Trails in Fruita, Colorado.  (Please note location of Start / Finish / Staging / Parking).Available Races: Trail Running (3.5 miles, 7.0 miles, and 11 miles) – Saturday morning.Short Track Mountain Biking – Saturday (20 minutes per race – see “Schedule” for start times). Cross Country Mountain Biking – Sunday (various distances – see “Schedule” for distances for specific categories).
