Park City Cycling Festival Offers Chance to Escape Heat This Weekend – June 28-30, 2013


Press Release: Park City, UT (June 5, 2013) –  KPCW and Park City Mountain Resort announce the 2nd annual Park City Cycling Festival, June 28-30, 2013. The cycling festival, hosted in the lower Park City Mountain Resort base area, is a three-day festival featuring fat tires, skinny tires and training wheels for never-ever to advanced cyclists.


“Park City is a cycling mecca,” said Cindy Kaiser Bywater, Director of Development and Special Events of KPCW. “KPCW has designed the festival program to appeal to all members of the biking community, from never-ever bikers to the most advanced cyclists; including bike retailers, cycling manufacturers and trail foundations. We are thrilled to present the Park City Cycling Festival and showcase the more than 400 miles of gold-level mountain terrain in addition to elite training rides hosted by world-renown cyclists.”


The festival includes tailored programs for road cyclists and mountain bikers as well as ongoing activities at the Park City Mountain Resort lower base area.

  • Elite cyclists including Marty Jemison, Jonathan Page, Andy Damman, and Marcel Vifian will guide training focused road rides with an emphasis on skills improvements.  Advanced registration is recommended; limited space is available.
  • Mountain bike rides, which showcase why IMBA has awarded Park City the only Gold level ride center in the world, include some of the classic Park City trails and are hosted by Mountain Trails Foundation, Jans and White Pine touring and professional mountain biker Eric Porter.  Advanced registration is

  • Ongoing free activities at the Park City Mountain Resort lower base area include a custom built pump track, exhibitions, safety demonstrations, round table discussions, bike demos, live music, children’s activities and more.
  • Park City Mountain Resort summer operations include Utah’s longest alpine coaster, one of the world’s longest alpine slides and the Adventure Zone for kids. Visit for hours of operation and pricing.
